Up for auction is a rare "Hawkshaw Hawkins 11 Yards Of Personality Photo Album" from 1954. This vintage softcover book measures 9 3/8" X 11 1/4" and apart from someone writing Hawkshaw Hawkins in pencil under the heading, both book and autographs are in very good condition. Hawkshaw autographed the back page of the book in black ink and signed the back of a cocktail napkin in blue ink. This took place in 1954 when my Uncle Nick, Aunt Vi and Uncle Paul went to a local Detroit, Michigan country bar w Hawk was performing. Hawkshaw Hawkins was a well-known star of the Grand Ole Opry who was blessed with a perfect singing voice. He was born December 22, 1921 and died tragically in the Patsy Cline plane crash on March 5, 1963. This auction is for a few wonderful pieces of country music memorabilia.
