You are bidding on a whimsical vintage walking sugar and creamer set made by Carlton Ware in England. It is part of their Walking Ware series. What makes this set so unique is that it still has the original lawn chair that came with the set. It is for the sugar bowl to relax in! I purchased this set in London in 1977. It has been in storage for a number of years. It was never used. The creamer stands approximately 3 1/4" tall and wears blue Maryjane shoes and brown patterned socks. The right foot is stamped, "England, Lustre, Carltonware" along with a picture of the Walking Ware cup. A great deal of the writing has worn off. The creamer is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I can see no crazing on this piece, which is unusual considering it is a common occurance in these earlier pieces. The lidded sugar bowl's sitting height is almost 4" tall to the top of the lid. It has black Maryjane shoes and blue and white striped socks. It is stamped with the Carltonware logo on its base. This piece is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. However, t is a great deal of glaze crazing. The lawn chair is blue striped and measures approximately 9" long and 9" tall when extended to its full height.
