Up for your bidding is one of the earlest Charles Lisk face jugs that I have ever sold or have ever seen. They are all from 1983. These pieces were some of the very first face jugs ever produced and were fired at the Craig home place. This is a very rare example the best Lisk face jugs I have ever sold. If you are looking for investement quality pieces is your chance to own something very few people have. Wood-Fired very primitive and crude. Unlike anything Mr. Lisk makes today. We will be offering several pieces of Lisk pieces all came from the 1983 Kiln Firing. Signed on base Charles Lisk Vale, NC Measures: 7-1/2" tall. Condition: Almost Mint has a place on base were it stuck to the wood-kiln floor. Has a very crude alkaline glaze. Who cares it is early and very unique and in my option a 1 of a kind piece.
