We think that this is the finest Example Chinese Export Rose Medallion we have offered for bid. A large, truly wonderful bowl, that is from the 1850-1900 period, hand painted and in Excellent (almost pristine) condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. The bowl is 13 inches in diameter and 5 1/2 inches tall, with decorations and scenes on the outside and interior. The outside has about 6 different scenes and the interior about 11 scenes. The bowl is decorated in the traditional manner, with people (probably royalty), butterflies, peacocks, birds, roses and garden flora, with floral banding on the rim, inside and out. T is no basemark. Bowls of this quality and size are not offered very often, and when offered, will price between $1,200 and $2,500. From the estate of a Pennsylvania collector, and always treated with TLC. Please feel free to ask any questions, before bidding.
