NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN Embroirded HIDE FUR TRADE BAG I believe it could be mid19th Century and made by the Red River Metis or Cree-Metis Bag. It is made with a very soft hide possibly Caribou or deer. It is trimmed and lined with silk and is decorated across the bottom with trade beads. The condition is almost mint. It looks like it has been stored away for years because the leather is soft and the colors are vibrant! The decoration looks like fine silk embroidery done in a floral decoration like seen on the octopus bags. Overall size including the beads is 19" Tall and 7 1/2" wide. Please email with any questions before bidding. Buyer pays Shipping and insurance priority mail in the US and I will ship internationally. Please email if you need a quote..
