MUSEUM GRADE FLUTED PALEO CLOVIS POINT

A MEDIUM/SMALL size, extremely well made, FLUTED CLOVIS Point exhibiting stone coloration & aging patina, mineral deposits, correct concave base, basal form flaking & grinding, correct Paleo batan flaking, correct use reduction sharpening & shaping, correct material and manufacture for the area found. The Lanceolate shape, ground base, overall shape and location of find determine the type.

This is a very well made example in EXCELLENT condition and is HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE

This is an authentic blade of the Paleo period dating in the 11,500-10.600 B.P. range.

Clovis is the earliest point type in the hemisp T is no pre-Clovis evidence (no crude forms) in the United States which pre-date Clovis. The actual origin of Clovis is unknown.

OUTSTANDING AND UNUSUAL HIGH QUALITY. Finely chipped, sharp edges, sharp point, wonderful overall numerous mineral deposits, great patina, OUTSTANDING QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP THROUGHOUT.
