Butterfields Auction Catalogs

This beautiful, exquisite 2-volume Butterfields Auction catalog-set is a must have referenced materials for connoisseurs of the Hoi An shipwrecked artifacts. The catalogs provide information and estimated values of over 500 years old ceramics artifacts recovered from the sea Cu Lao Cham Island in the area of HoiAn, Viet Nam and offered through Butterfields Auctioneers.

The catalogs set totals almost 600 pages of thousands of color pictures with detailed descriptions of these 15th century Vietnamese ceramics artifacts.

Published in two volumes, the ceramics were categorized by shape: barbed-rim dishes, pouring vessels, bottles, jars, enameled dishes, ship-ware and concretions, circular-rim dishes, bowls and cups, figural ceramics and boxes.

Volume One (blue cover) - 248 pages, soft cover, 22 cm x 28 cm. English - includes auction lots 1-658 including barbed rim dishes; pouring vessels; ewers; bottles; jars; and enameled dishes.

Volume Two (white cover) - 340 pages, soft cover, 22 cm x 28 cm. English - includes lots including ship ware and concretions; blue and white dishes; bowls and cups; figural ceramics and boxes.

The 2 volume-catalog set is new. The offered item was obtained through Butterfields Auctioneers auction events.
