This is one of the most rare and hard-to-get press kits from the North American International Auto Show - or any auto show - and we have one of these unique press kits up for auction. Automotive writer, Frank A. Aukofer, donated this valuable memorabilia from Ford for this Frank Washington Fund auction! (Thanks Frank!!) Frank Washington is an automotive journalist who was severely beaten up in a vicious attack while on his morning walk in Detroit earlier this year. The entire automotive community has gotten together to raise funds to help with Frankâe(tm)s medical bills and we sincerely thank Mr. Aukofer for this priceless donation!!Dated January 8, 2001, this automotive press kit was for the world debut of the 2002 Ford Thunderbird, and only limited journalists at the event received this valuable press kit. It includes a Thunderbird model (in white), a press/media/photo cd in a black CD case with the TBird logo, and a beautiful softcover book with Thunderbird history and photos. This was selling for nearly $500 in January of 2001!! Imagine what it must be worth today!
