This auction is for one amazing, natural Dragon Stone Carved Egg hand-selected from very limited quantities. Also known as Septerye and Septaria , this gemstone egg has incredibly dramatic natural mosaic markings, similar to Giraffe skin, in chocolate brown, crystallized yellow and gray. Mined and carved in Madagascar , it has a marvelous smooth, high polish finish. This Gemstone Crystal Egg measures 60mm (approx. 2-3/8 inches) tall and 45mm (approx. 1-3/4 inches) wide, and weighs nearly one-half pound . The One Cent coin in the photograph illustrates actual size. The black acrylic stand is included. Septerye is a composite of fossilized sea creatures that, over the millennia, turn into Calcite and Aragonite, creating the marvelous colors and patterns we see today. The name Dragon Stone comes from the natural scale-like pattern on the stone, and legend says it's a fossil of once-upon-a-time, real-life dragons. Septerye is believed to enhance telepathy , and help one adjust to new ideas. It is also reputed to promote success in business. All Teton Rocks! carved gemstone eggs are delivered in handsome fabric draw-string bags, emblazoned with the oval Teton Rocks! logo, and ready for gift giving.
