This is a rare fossil ammonite called Mortoniceras [Drakeoceras] maximum. She is around one hundred a three million years old. She shared the world with the Dinosaurs and her species died out with them.

She comes from the Upper Albian Stage, Cretaceous Series, Washita Group, Duck Creek Formation of North Texas, U.S.A.

She measures 7" wide, 6" tall, 1" thick and weighs 1.6 LBS.. She has great notched ribs and great tubercles! She has no repair.

I found, excavated, prepared and identified this ammonite and she has all of the paleontology, stratigraphy and locality information on the back.
