This is a rare fossil ammonite called Mortoniceras [Drakeoceras] maximum. She is around one hundred a three million years old. She shared the world with the Dinosaurs and her species died out with them. She comes from the Upper Albian Stage, Cretaceous Series, Washita Group, Duck Creek Formation of North Texas, U.S.A. She measures 7" wide, 6" tall, 1" thick and weighs 1.6 LBS.. She has great notched ribs and great tubercles! She has no repair. I found, excavated, prepared and identified this ammonite and she has all of the paleontology, stratigraphy and locality information on the back. Please check out my feed back to see just how great my ammonites really are! I will combine sales up to 70 lb. through UPS only. I recommend shipping through UPS and not the U.S. Post Office for safe delivery. Please remember that UPS will not deliver to a P.O.BOX. Must pay or make arrangements with in 7 days from end of auction.
