*Hello and Welcome to my Site!
*For those of you new to my Site I offer an array of Outstanding Antique Quilts and Quilt Tops, acquired from the Tri-State area of Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas
*My Quilts are acquired from Old Estates in the area, that I handle for local Attorneys that Probate Wills, as well as various Estates throughout the Backwoods of East Texas. I try my best, when available, to share with you, any history and information I have on each Quilt.
*This auction is for a RARE PRIMITIVE, AFRICAN AMERICAN, TEXAS STAR, KINGS X, QUILT TOP

*This is a Spectacular piece of Folk Art Textile History and a MOST Unusual ONE OF A KIND African American Quilt Top!!

*Circa 1950's

*Machine Pieced

*Measurements: 76" X 80"

*Fabric: Old Cottons

*This is a Primitive, Enchanting FOLK ART Quilt Top and a wonderful example of the Creativity and Ingenuity of the amazing African American culture. A culture that innocently created Masterpieces of ART, using whatever the Maker had on hand at the time to piece a Quilt Top
*This Quilt has incredible Eye-Appeal

*Good Antique Condition with primitive hand stitches and t

*This Quilt Top is very similar to the Gees Bend Texas Star Quilt by Ella Mae Irby, with this particular African American Maker using her own special imagination, incorporating the Kings X pattern in the corners, string pieced, with the Texas Star, obviously hours of intricate workmanship, and definately a 'Labor of Love' for her family!

*This would be OUTSTANDING Framed and Displayed or used on your favorite bed...it is TRULY a work of ART!
