We recently acquired this Vintage item from a very old East Coast estate. This auction is for a beautifully hand cut Lead Crystal Domed Cake Plate from the American Brilliant Period and features a detailed and ornate multi-cut floral design! The hand blown Round Plate (almost a Bowl because it is extra deep) measures approximately 8 ¾" in diameter, and is just under 1 ½" deep; the TALL Domed lid measures 7 ¼ " tall and is 5 ¾" in diameter! It is extremely fancy with exceptionally deep cuts and thick walls ( this is a VERY HEAVY SET )-- absolutely gorgeous!! T are extremely detailed flowers and leaves on both matching pieces, and super ornate Octagons and diamond cuts along the top and outer edges - WOW! The top of the Dome lid has a beautiful faceted ball handle, and the plate edge is rounded sawtooth carved. This Set is in excellent overall condition; t are a couple of very minor nicks on the underside lip of the lid which are NOT visible when it is in place as well as a couple of very small dings on the plate edge. This overall beauty is very collectible, and it displays extremely well. We estimate this Antique Bowl to have been produced around the turn of the century, 1900. All of the Hand Cut Crystal we sell has been Black Light tested and is absolutely authentic!!
