Very Rare Ancient Medieval Gold Bracelet
Magnificent Ancient Artwork Craftsmanship Hand Carved and Filled With Niello From The Ancient Mahmud Ghazni Kingdom Circa:AD This is a Very Rare , highly detailed, and extremely heavily constructed Gold Ancient Bracelet which was created using Gold with Silver and Bronze mix. The variation of designs, patterns and skilled craftsmanship within this single piece is astounding! Every part of the outside of this bracelet was skillfully hand carved to outline and detail the patterns and designs, then the carved outlines of each and every detail which penetrated the surface, was filled with Niello. Niello is a black substance Ancient ringsmiths would pour into the outline carved designs and patterns of various Knight rings, Bracelets, and Necklaces. Once the labor intensive carving of each pattern and design were complete, the ringsmith would then fill each and every carved outlined crevace extending below the surface of the gold with Niello. When the Niello dried, it became hard as stone, and will not remove from the ring during polishing and cleaning, which of course is the desired result. This bracelet is of a double hinge design. One of the hinges use a stationary pin, and one opposite hinge uses a removable pin. By removing the pin, the bracelet opens for placing on the wearer's wrist. Placing the pin back into the hinge, locks the bracelet closed. Heart symbols were often used in this kingdom's jewelry as a symbolic display of their courage, and as Christians, for their love of God as seen on the front of this bracelet. The hand carvings are a variety of floral designs, and highly intricate patterns and symbols. Several of the Ancient Knight rings I have from this Kingdom, are made in the exact same manner as this bracelet using Niello, and some have identical designs as displayed on this bracelet. Other than Niello missing in certain areas due to this bracelets extensive age, this piece is in excellent, and very wearable condition. This may very well be one of the most rare bracelets you will ever come across. Make it yours. This bracelet is a very rare, high end piece from my collection. This is VERY heavy, very solid well made, and in absolute magnificent condition considering numerous centuries with only expected wear, and areas of missing Niello. I was recently informed by a Athentication Expert that: when the Taliban took over Afghanistan they destroyed everything that was art or decorative that had a human or animal symbol, they also went to great lengths to destroy any jewelry or physical adornment. So very few pieces survive today, and t is a chance that values could increase in the future. Much of the bracelet has been professionally cleaned to restore, and display it's original brilliance, beauty and detail. See the "Before Cleaning" pictures to view the tarnish and patina which covered many areas of this magnificent piece of history. If the new owner so desires to polish the bracelet, they may use moderate amounts of silver cream on a soft damp cloth, or medium bristle toothbrush, to further enhance the bracelet to it's full luster and beauty! The Bracelet has been chemically tested, and results are 100% gold positive when tested at 10k. Gold karat is less than 10k (About 8k), and the Bracelet is gold completely throughout as described, and not gold plated. In Medieval times they did not have the karat system when creating more solid and durable gold items which were generally a mixture of Gold, with a Silver and Bronze mix. This Bracelet is 100% Guaranteed to be solid gold throughout the Bracelet as described, and not gold plated. Bracelet is 100% Guaranteed Authentic as described, or a FULL refund will be cheerfully issued. I Only Sell Top Quality, 100% Genuine Medieval artifacts. Nothing I sell has been altered in any way which is not fully described within the listing, other than the items which have been cleaned, and cleaned ONLY. I stand behind EVERY item I sell. I...
