Very Rare Ancient Roman Medieval Solid Gold Knight Battle Ring From The Mahmud Ghazni Kingdom Circa:AD This is a Very Rare Ancient Medieval era Gold Knight Battle Ring From The Mahmud Ghazni Kingdom. Ring is in excellent condition . Gold knight rings of this weight and quality are very difficult to find. This is a VERY rare jewel of a ring! This type of knight ring was designed to wear between the first two knuckles of the finger. When the finger tip was bent downwards, this exposed the gold spear tip at the top of the ring, which in battle was used as a weapon against the enemy with a stab or swing of the hand with the finger tips bent, and striking the enemy in the face or head with the spear tips afflicting injury, and momentarily stunning the opponent. While stunned, the knight could following though with a lethal blow from his sword. The knight may have wore more than one of these rings on other fingers of the same hand as well. The spiked base of the ring was suitable for grasping, and tearing flesh. I only have a very limited number of these very rare rings, and may only let a couple go on Ebay. Once I sell selected ones that I am willing to let go on ebay, you may not see this type of ring available in the future. The ring has 3 ring type attachments on the top and front. Each of these once had a metal ring with a teardrop shaped metal attached which has been lost in time. The center of the ring once held 3 stones which are also missing. This ring is heavy, extremely very well made, very solid, and in excellent condition considering it's age with only expected wear. This R ing is about a 1,000 years old, and is in magnificent condition. Much of the ring has been professionally cleaned to restore, and display it's original brilliance, beauty and detail. If the new owner so desires further polishing, they may use moderate amounts of silver cream and a soft damp cloth, to further enhance the ring's full luster and beauty! The Ring's band has been chemically tested, and results are 100% gold positive when tested at 10k. Gold karat is under 10k (around 8k), but the ring is solid gold, and not gold plated. In Medieval times they did not have the karat system when creating more solid and durable gold items which were generally a mixture of Gold, Silver and Bronze. This Ring is 100% guaranteed to be solid gold throughout the ring, and not gold plated.
