Ancient Medieval Solid Gold Ring
Beautiful Red Center Stone Magnificent Condition with Hand Crafted Designs Circa: 1000 - 1650AD This is a Very Rare Ancient Medieval era Gold Ring with a Beautiful Brilliant Red Center stone. Stone is fully intact with no cracks or chips. Stone setting, as well as entire ring is very firm, secure and in well preserved condition. The bands on both sides of bezel, as well as the bezel are decorated with hand crafted art by the ringsmith who designed and created this magnificent piece. Ring is in magnificent condition with only expected wear from age. I have sold other similar types of this ring which obviously came from the same kingdom, but this ring was created even heavier and more solid than others I have previously sold. Much of my collection I do not plan to sell, and I am almost reluctant to sell this piece, risking not receiving a fair price for a ring of such quality. A ring of this type, in such good condition after so many centuries, is extremely difficult to find. This ring is very well made, very solid, and in magnificent condition considering it's extensive age. Ring is at least 350+ years old. Much of the ring has been professionally cleaned to restore, and display it's original brilliance, beauty and detail. If the new owner so desires further polishing, they may use moderate amounts of silver cream and a soft damp cloth, which will further enhance the ring's full luster and beauty! The Ring's band has been chemically tested, and results are 100% gold positive when tested at 10k. Gold karat is below 10k (around 6 - 8k), but the ring is gold completely throughout the ring, not gold plated. In Medieval times they did not have the karat system when creating more solid and durable gold items which were generally a mixture of Gold, Silver and Bronze. This particular ring was constructed from Gold and Silver only, and without Bronze. Without the bronze, the ring will not have a dominant gold tone such as with high karat gold. This ring has a very vivid gold tint even without the bronze to enhance the gold appearance. The gold tone is more and less dominant depending on the lighting conditions. In florescent lighting, the gold tint is dominant, in incandescent lighting, the gold tint may be less dominant. Pictures were taken under florescent lighting. To verify gold content, place a piece of silver next to the ring and the gold coloration stands out quite vividly, or of course you may have the ring professionally chemically tested with 10k acid for "low karat value less than 10k". The level of gold tint gives this ring a very beautiful and unique brilliant appearance. This Ring is 100% guaranteed to be solid gold throughout the ring as described, and not gold plated. Ring is 100% Guaranteed Authentic as described, or a FULL refund will be cheerfully issued.Weight: 7.1 Grams Material: Gold, Silver mix, 1 Beautiful Red Center Stone (Possibly Glass Bead, unknown) US Ring Size: 7 Stone Dimensions: 7/16" x 5/16" Ring is in magnificent condition and a Very Rare Trophy for any finger or Ancient Ring Collection. This ring is Very Solid and in wearable condition. If you have a feedback of less than 3, you must contact me for authorization prior to bidding, otherwise I reserve the right to cancel the bid.
