23 (58 cm.) Amber tinted bisque socket head with elongated oval-shaped face, brown glass sleep eyes, black painted lashes with incised eye-liner, thick black liner encircling the eye sockets, black painted brows with comb-marked detail, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth, accented lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black human hair in upswept fashion decorated with silk flowers, amber tinted composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 30 164. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: rare model in grand size that accentuates the serene expression, superb bisque whose bronze amber hue is enhanced by delicate cheek blushing, original body and body finish, antique costume highlighted by silk kimono with rich hand-embroidery.
