THIS IS INDEED A RARE OLD BEAUTY IN THAT THE METAL THE GLASS ENAMELING HAS BEEN APPLIED TO IS REDDISH COPPER AND NOT THE USUAL BRASS-THIS IS A VERY FINE VICTORIAN ERA BUTTON WITH A RAISED FLORAL MOTIF, DOMED CENTER, AND A BRILLIANT ACANTHUS LEAF WREATHED RIM/BORDER DONE IN RICH CORNFLOWER BLUE FLOWING INTO JET BLACK LEAVES-IT MEASURES ALMOST 1" IN DIAMETER WITH AN EXTENDED COPPER LOOP SHANK IN BACK AND IT IS EXQUISITELY PERFECT-IT IS CIRCA THE 1880'S PERIOD AND QUITE UNLIKE MOST ENAMELS-IT IS OUT OF A BATON ROUGE ESTATE AND WAS LISTED AS HAVING BEEN GIVEN TO THE ORIGINAL COLLECTOR IN THE 1890'S BY ONE "MIGNON BADON, WHO WAS A COUSIN OF A DEAR FRIEND AND WHO RESIDED ON RUE BIENVILLE, IN NEW ORLEANS, LA."------------------------------------------------------------------------------------All of my buttons are in excellent condition unless I state otherwise******All of my Bakelite has been tested*******SHIPPING is 2.00 for up to 8-10 buttons depending on their sizes******I will gladly combine shipping for all buttons won in the same calender week, that includes any buttons won on Mon.
