Beautiful hard to find blown out biscuit jar decorated in the manner of Mount Washington Crown Milano. The flowers and leaves are outlined and enamelled in gilt. Many areas on the jar have been blown out creating a three dimensional look. The body is in a lovely apricot color with yellows and greys. This large jar measures about 9" across and 9 1/2" wide. T are numbers under the jar 3940 and underneath 1114. I find no other markings on the piece. Mount Washington items were sometimes marked with paper labels. T are no chips, cracks or repairs. It is mounted with a silver plated rim and bail handle T are embossed flowers all around the rim with a floral and lines handle. The silver plate appears to be worn. Photos cannot fully show the beauty of this unusual piece! Thank you for looking.E-mail me with questions
