This particular item is a rare circa 1840 Staffordshire Transferware china platter, measuring 13.5" x 11". This lovely platter depicts an Italian villa with gondola, fountain, and young couple in a floral setting. It has some losses as shown in photos, but is a very early piece! Writing on the back reads "Italian Villas J.H.S.C."
