Beautiful set of eight cups and saucers in early Qing Period Chinese Export. This is the lovely flower and butterfly pattern with its rich gold gild border, Roses and garden flora, and butterflies. The colors are true and vivid. All the saucers are in excellent condition, only one has very tiny paint flake on rim. Some have some minor wear to some flowers, but does not detract. All the cups also look great, no chips, although four cups have very minor hairlines inside of cup only, does not go all the way through. Also, one of the cups has a repaired handle, but, still looks good. I am throwing in two extra cups to the set, they are perfect except for their handles, which are metal, looks like the porcelain has worn away, they could easily be fixed by a restorer. This is a very hard to find set of eight, plus two extra cups. The saucers measure 5 1/2" across, the cups are 3 3/4" across, 4 1/2" to handle by 2 1/8" high. These are dated 1860 or earlier. Offered with no reserve.
