is a large Staffordshire copper lustre jug that has black transferware that is historical. One side is LA FAYETTE and the other is CORNWALLIS. It does not sit totally flush on the table and is a bit wobbly. Measures about 6 1/2" high and 9" from spout to handle. T is some peeling off of the copper luster hand painted areas in the yellow ground, and the remnants of a sticker on the base. We are fairly certain that the spout has been repaired, not sure if any other areas were. T are no cracks or chips, no thud when tapped, but t is some light crazing on the inside white area, as is as found. Problems mainly happen for two reasons, we actually can make an error or mistake or miss something when handling old used items. We are not afraid to admit that or correct it. But a large number of problems happen because bidders do not take the time to read what we have taken the time to explain below or to read the description or to look at the photos. We are very clear and no one is forcing you to bid, and bidding means accepting the terms below, so please give us a few minutes and read the information carefully. Sorry for the lengthiness but it is all relevant. Questions are always welcome and we can send additional photos if needed. We hope this will be a pleasant transaction for both the bidders and our consignors. Keep in mind that these items are not ours, so our auctions need to be handled with more guidelines than other sellers require. We not only are responsible to you as a bidder but to the consignor as well. From us you can expect that we will never ignore a question (unless it is too close to the end of the auction and we are asleep). We invoice the day after the auction once we have packed and we compare USPS, Fed Ex and UPS. It is important your auction gets t safe and that an insurance claim is not denied in case t is a problem so packing well is important to us. We ship within one business day of receiving payment. We leave feedback after you receive the item and let us know it arrived and all is well, that is when the transaction is complete . From bidders we expect that you will take the time to read all the information below before bidding, and if you have a problem with any of it please just do not bid and save us all a lot of hassle. We also hope that you will use common sense when leaving feedback. We can not control how long items take to get to you after we drop them off, especially if you choose parcel post or media mail. We can not control that the post office seems incapable of scanning boxes shipped parcel post most of the time. We can not control what shippers charge for shipping or that the post office eliminated surface for international shipping. Nipping at a sellers stars for reasons beyond their control is just plain unfair! PAYMENT DETAILS : PAYPAL OR U.S. POST OFFICE money orders only. Payment (in a form we take) due within 7 days of auction end. No communication within 7 days or late payments will result in unpaid item filings . QUESTIONS : Items are described to the best of our ability - we are not selling new packaged items that are perfect, we are not selling standardized items that never vary. If something is not clear, don 't guess or assume, please ask. If we are not familiar with an item we may not know something is missing, or if it is "right". Remember, these are not our items and we do not know their history. We can not be responsible for restoration or incomplete items that we are unaware of. If we have described something incorrectly or missed something important please let us know so we can fix the listing or add a note - we welcome experts information and an oversight or lack of knowledge on our part is not an attempt to deceive.
