antique collectible Ice Cream Pewter mold ! This IS A SINGLE SIDED pewter Disney ice cream mold and is from the 1930's. Overall it is in excellent condition. see pics. It is 4 1/2" x 3 1/2". It's pretty heavy. it weighs 1 LB 13.5 oz The inside is usable and reasonably clean but because of lead content not recommended for food. I will clean it some before shipping This mold came from a collection that was brought in from a large wealthy family estate to be scrapped. Luckily somebody thought the were cool decided to keep them and they made their way to a basement w they sat for the last 45 years. I will combine shipping but please pay within 5 days of being invoiced. Also let me know to hold mold until you are finished bidding T IS NO RESERVE AND THE HIGH BIDDER WILL OWN THIS MOLD. Insurance is optional but once it leaves my post office, it is yours. A little about ice cream molds, Most ice cream molds, were made of pewter and were two part, hinged and heavy, in order to hold the cold temperature longer, but un mold the ice cream easily. Along with the 20th century came commercialized commemoration of more and more holidays and these decorative molds were made to help people celebrate these events. Now Ice Cream molds have become collectors items and are going up in value T were mainly three early 20th century American companies who designed and manufactured ice cream molds.
