RARE Antique Footed Nippon Hand Painted Moriage Covered Biscuit/Ginger Jar Condition: Very Good This is an absolutely gorgeous RARE Footed Hand Painted Gold Moriage "Nippon" Covered Biscuit/Ginger Jar. It is Painted in a Dark Blue Background with Purple, Pink and White Flowers and accented very beautifully with Gold Gilding in a Moriage Style. The Moriage still seems to be in Excellent shape, both on the Cover and the Jar itself. It does have a very old spider crack which I have shown in one of the photos, however the piece is still solid. The spider crack is in the back on the lower portion of the jar and you can tell when looking at it that it is almost as old as the jar itself.As you can also see in one of the photos it is marked with the "M" mark for the Morimura Brothers. This is one Great RARE Beautiful find that even my Photos can't capture completely. It measures 6" in diameterand stands 7" high w/lid. Other than the Old Spider Crack,it seems to be in very good condition, with no other visible chips, cracks or repairs.It would make a great gift or beautiful addition to anyone's collection.
