Pantin, Cristallerie de Pantin, Paris, France (1851 - c 1915) Founded by E S Monot (1851-90s) at La Villette, moved to Pantin 1855. F Stumpf (1868). One design registered in Britain (120760, 02-Mar-1889) as "Monot & Stumpf". After several name changes, finally became Stumpf, Touvier, Viollet & Cie in 1900. Merged with Legras & Cie after WWI ( see also St Denis et Pantin) is a rare antique Pantin enameled acid etched vase. It is 100% authentic and is in no way a modern reproduction. It is approx. 8" tall x 5 1/2" wide at the widest point. The Pantin mark on the bottom is the Stumpf, Touvier, Viollet and Cie circa 1900's. The body of the vase is acid etched and then decorated with very colorful enameled flowers, leaves and a beautiful dragonfly. All of the enameling is bordered by gold gilding and it has wonderful detail. This vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
