More of THE GOOD STUFF in GORHAM BUTTERCUP! These HARD TO FIND, VINTAGE forks will add a old twist and some real PIZAZZ to your standard table setting. They're not just for fish - they are also GREAT FOR SALADS AND DESSERTS. Each one is a piece of art. Their unique design and shape really differentiate them from the standard/common salad and dessert forks and will make your place settings extra special. True quality and craftsmanship from a bygone era. Each fork measures approximately 6 & 1/4 inches long and is 1 & 3/16 inches wide at the widest point (near the base of the tines). So they will go well with Place size, Dinner size, or Lunch size sets. A fantastic addition to your Buttercup Sterling collection, these rare forks are in excellent estate condition. The pattern is clear and crisp. They have the old marks - lion, anchor, and the Gorham "G" and the patent date 1900. They have no damage and are only slightly tarnished, but nothing a little elbow grease can't soon remedy. I am not polishing these because many collectors of the good stuff are very particular about the patina and how they want things polished to match the rest of their set. All 12 have the same monogram which is so stylized it is difficult to interpret - my best guess is a capital letter "B" or perhaps it's an "R" ??? Those in the know understand that monograms don't really matter with such a rare find! They prove thier age and history with the very fine surface scratches you'd expect from decades of special occasions. Tough to find in such beautiful condition, and especially unusual to find a COMPLETE SET of 12 all together!! Collectors search for these and are thrilled to find and buy one and one t.. Collecting a set like this can take decades! But they are (ALL 12!!) gatd together in one place, at one time, for your pleasure. HOW CONVEEEEEEEEEENIENT! A low starting price and NO RESERVE!
