RARE HAZEL ATLAS "X-DESIGN" SUGAR JAR WITH LID. Up for auction is this Hazel Atlas sugar jar with two handles with the original lid. This rarely seen pattern is very hard to come by, especially the sugar jar and lid together. Both pieces are in excellent condition except for some very tiny flea bites on the outer rim of the lid, which can only be felt with the finger nail. The jar only has some very minor roughness on the seam lines which is from the manufacturing process. The jar itself stands 3 3/4" tall. With the lid on it is 5 3/4" tall to the top of the finial. The opening of the jar is 3 5/8" in diameter. This flouresces magnificently under a black light. This rare pattern is is so hard to come by, I could only locate it in one depression glass book out of ten that I had looked at.
