This is a beautiful RARE ANTIQUE LENOX THREE HANDLED LOVING CUP. It is dark cobalt blue and white with three scenes. One scene is two monks in conversation (one standing, one seated), another scene is a wooden wine barrel below a hearth and the last is a laughing monk holding a laughing pig. It measures approximately 5 1/4" high, 5" across.The Lenox Cup is marked on the bottom with an early Lenox mark (before 1900) underglaze. Referenced in: Lehner's Encyclopedia of U.S. Marks on Pottery, Porcelain and Clay, Page 258 #1A.This Lenox Loving Cup is in very good condition.
