Signed , as shown this Early Antique Oriental Art Pottery Vase boasts 17 three-dimensional Porcelain, Pottery, and Carved Inserts. Each depicting fine works of Oriental Pottery, Porcelains and carvings of Antiquity. While the base is a Mat thin Dark, Dark, Brown Glaze over a Red Terra-cotta Ground ; the upper portion boasts a Rich, Thick, Shiney, Chocolate-brown, drip glaze with grey-white undulating streams. 17 unique 3 dimensional applications of carvings & moldings in Pottery & Porcelain enhance the vase. Basically undamaged and in Great Condition ! ! ! It has lost one inset over the centuries, but the applied pottery mounting depicts its form ( as shown) and would be an easy & worthwhile restoration. As t is no damage to the Vase or the other 17 Oriental inserts. This is a true work of the finest artisans of any time. Vase measures : ( approx.) 14 1/8 " Tall ; Base diameter is 4 1/2 " ; Very Top is 4 3/4 " ; At widest diameter 6 1/2 " Weight : 5 lb 0.9 ox. Note : I have been told this is a : Sumida Gawa Vase signed by Inoue Ryosai.
