Antique Japan Motif Ornate Rockford Silver Quad RARE. This is a Stunning, Intricate 3 piece matching set of Quadruple Silver Plate Creamer, Sugar and another cup or mug by Rockford Silver Company (stamped on bottom of each piece) I have done some extensive research on these pieces and simply CANNOT FIND anything like it. I know that it is from the 1800's. The Highly ornate pieces seem to be a Japanese Motif. T is the face of an elder on each foot and the handles look like a saber sword or dagger of some kind. T are birds in flight and cherries, flowers, leaves. I cannot possible describe the extensive detail on these gorgeous pieces. The pitcher or creamer, has one handle. The other two pieces have two handles. One piece has an inner lip that makes me believe that a lid used to fit down in t but I am not sure. I believe that this is very valuable as I have never seen anything like these before. The pieces took several hours to clean up (due to the detailed carvings) but I did use Maas cleaner and it should last for a long time. These are RARE. I could not find another set even closely similar to this one. Each piece is in EXCELLENT condition. T is some minor damage to the shape of the rim on the cup with the inner lip. Extremely heavy, thick silver plate. Engraved on the bottom: Quadruple Rockford Silver Co. and the number 789. I see no wearing on the silver except slightly on the insides or underneath. T is some slight tarnish that I could not remove around the upper rim of the two-handled cup. This piece was the one with the most tarnish to begin with. Please look at photos carefully as it is hard to describe this set perfectly. Any questions? Just ask. I almost forgot... The creamer or pitcher is 5" tall and about 3 1/4" in diameter. The double handled bowl or cup with the inner lip is about 4 1/2" tall and 4" across. The other double handle piece is 4 5/8" tall and 3 1/4" in diameter. Each piece weighs in at almost a pound.
