~From the private estate sale collection of B.F. Temple, of Colorado, I am pleased to offer this unique & antique Photo Album filled with photos of civil war soldiers, children w/animals, dogs, dolls, train stations, and families ~This photo album is unique in that it is velvet covering with gold gilt flowers and scroll decorations, on a wooden backing stand. The front of the album features a diamond shaped mirrow, and to open it, you fold down the album on the front hinge and then open it from the side. Once you fold down the album, it reveals a larger mirror. The clasp is still attached and working. The original color of this album is a dark green "Leaf" pattern, and you can clearly see this color/pattern when the album is folded down. However, time and most likely sunlight has faded the front cover, which now appears dark green and tan colored. The album itself dates to late 1800's to early 1900's. The photos are in excellent condition, with minimal spotting, etc. I have not attempted to remove any of the pictures, as some of them appear to be glued into the photo album pages. ~The album wooden frame measures 18" by 11", and the album portion measures 10.5" by 8.5". The pages/photo openings measure 6" by 4". ~I have not cleaned nor attempted to restore this album in anyway. ~Any questions, please email me and I will respond
