ITEM: This is a beautiful Japanese antique haidai (sake cup stand). Haidai are very rare, have a look around on the net, even info about them is scarce. T was a good article about haidai in Daruma magazine #47. This haidai is porcelain with sukashi fan shapes, each painted with a scene of a crane and sea shells. It measures 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.25 inches. This is going to date from Meiji era to Taisho era, t is a little more refinement in it than what we see during the war era of the 1930s and early 1940s. It could possibly pre-date the Meiji era. The sake cup pictures is now being auctioned in my listings, please have a look if you are interested. This scarce haidai comes directly from my own collection, I guarantee its scarcity and authenticity.
