We are pleased to be offering this week, a selection of fine antiques & art from a Birmingham Alabama estate, including a collection of interesting antique silver! This is a very rare find! It is composed of 2 bombillas and a yerba mate bowl. Each piece is constructed of 800 silver, and inlaid with thick solid gold. The yerba mate has a gold inlaid, and hand chased figure of a man playing a guitar. The back has a blank medalion suitable for a monogram. The bottom has several marks, which are difficult to make out, but one is clearly Plata. This piece is entirely constructed of 800 silver. The (straws) are also constructed of 800 silver and inlaid with gold. They are marked 800 Industria Argentina. Their stems are also hand chased. The mouth pieces are at the very least heavily gold overlayed, and they are also marked, but I cannot make out the mark. I am sure t will be collectors who will be able to provide more information on his unique set. The vase measures 5 1/8" high X 3" wide X 1 1/2" deep......it weighs 111 grams. The pipes each measure 8" long....together weigh 77 grams. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!!!!!We accept checks, money orders, and Paypal.
