Beautiful and rare collection of old somdejs. The longest of the bunch! This plaque was made from an antique temple wood and a variety of valuable amulets have been set into it for display, and all of them, as well as the plaque has real gold leaf as an initial blessing or offering. Note that each of the individual amulets is a high value antique somdej tablet from Wat Rakang. T are 59 authentic somdejs in this plaque so if you do the math you will see that it is worth a small fortune compared to the initial listing price which I started low to keep auction costs down. T is also a very similar one listed in this current auction if you are interested in a pair..These sacred individual white clay amulet-tablets were handmade by monks in temples, dressed in native sap-resin in some cases and gold leafed, blessed, and given to people who supported the temple. They were then brought home and placed on the home altar. All of these plaques I have listed now will be the last I will list as they are not easily found anymore in Thailand; this one time offer, and once they are gone, they are gone forever. They would be ideal as an embellishment for a temple room! This particular one is 27 3/4 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide. T are 2 shorter, but similar plaques listed now and togather they would make a stunning display! PLEASE NOTE: These old plaques are very fragile and have had the amulets secured with local resin in Thailand which has a tendancy to dry out in drier climates and on occasion an amulet can come loose. In that case, it only need be re-glued with a stronger glue while the plaque is on a flat surface. I will package very carefully but you must be prepared to simlpy re-glue them if necsessary once they arrive to thier final destination, as I cannot be responsible for the amulets comming off in transit.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: These plaques require EMS postage with tracking, was US Buyers can pay Priority Mail with tracking postage. Please contact me in advance for EMS quotes to other countries or be prepared to pay the actual EMS postage at the auction close. T will be NO RETURNS on these, so you should only bid if you really want it. I do not offer a return policy at all, particularly on large or delicate objects that are difficult to pack.
