We had the privilege to be a part of the settlement of an Excellent Estate Auction with Antiques & Collectibles from the Estate of this Unusual Lady who was a Race Car Driver at Watkins Glen, a Pilot, an Equestrian, a Benefactor and an avid Gardener and a collector of rare fine antiques - she was a long-time Clarkson Township, Western N.Y. Resident. You are bidding on what we believe is an RARE Antique Victorian Eastlake Walnut Newspaper Shelf . Great Early piece of American History. We believe this came from a late 1800's church or a victorian style hotel. Used for newpapers - knick knack shelf and the right side could be used with a small cork board for pin up info. It needs some light restoration ( Staining - that's it ). Has early stenciling on it as pictured. Measures 32 1/2" wide x 6 1/2 " front to back and it is 29" tall. Shelf is 17" wide by 4" deep and the rail around it is approximately 3" tall. Newspaper slot is 17" wide. We ship the 1st Thursday after a cleared payment.
