This auction is for a very old and rare, circa 1800s, Victorian silk embroidered lace applique trim. It is most likely French in origin, since it was salvaged from a very ornate jacket, which was very shredded. This is most ornate, exquisite nad completely hand-done. It is in great condition aside from some minor silk thread wear around the edges of the smaller appliques' edges (they are heavy cotton thread wrapped with silk). T is one minor repair on the second applique, which needs a stitch. This is a very unique textile and wonderful for the collector of fine, unusual pieces. This measures approximately 22 3/8" in length; the larger flower applique is about 2 3/4" x 4 3/8" and the other is 2 3/8" x 1.5". T are six appliques total, in which three of them have the 1" round flower on one side and the last applique has none. S&H is $1.35 within USA only.
