Rare Antique Swivel Brooch with Victorian Lady and Georgian Print under glazed rock crystal in Pinchbeck Mount c.1840 Rare indeed, this large Swivel Brooch/Pendant is breathtaking. These are rarely found in such nice overall condition! Has an early photo, likely an ambrotype (set under beveled glazed rock crystal) of a very formal looking older woman on one side, with a curious Georgian print of a gentleman (under rock crystal) on the other side. The Georgian fellow could likely be a relative of the very stern looking older woman. It is set into a very ornate pinchbeck or rolled gold mount. The brooch swivels cleverly so that it can be worn either side facing up. The elaborate mount with applied scrolling motifs and golden sps is in lovely condition. Crystal is also in fine condition. Has what appears to be its original tube-hinge, c-clasp & extended pin stem, all in fine working order. It is quite large; measuring 2.5" (long) x 2" (wide). NO RESERVE AUCTION !
