Rare Magnificent Antique Victorian Red Velvet and Silver Metal Photograph Album Silver Metal Script on Front; "Memory Friendship and Love" Excellent Condition! Beautiful red velvet fabric spine,front and back: Excellent condition: some wear on one small part of front and edges, but not torn, thready, nor bare. Amazingly preserved. Raised metal script on front : "Memory Friendship and Love" : Excellent condition (see photo, please) Cover page has beautiful blue and gold drawing with "Album", signed "P.F.Collier,N.Y." (see photo, please) Album rests on back with four metal nail heads- intact (see photo, please) Measures approx: 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches 21 double sided pocket pages -a combination of single and 4 photo pocket inserts; Some of the single pockets are different sizes. All pages have a gold border and finely detailed red flowers, leaves, and scrolls. Almost all pockets are in excellent condition: some of the small slits for photo insertion have been taped and t are some tan/brown spots/smudges (example visible in photos) but the pages remain functional and beautiful Covers, spine, and pages secure. Unusual, intact, functioning latch/catch closure. Spiral moveable part: Marked: "Pat. April 19, 1881" An exceptional, solid and significant weight, album, in remarkable condition! Significant addition to your personal collection; outstanding wedding, birthday, anniversary, or any other occasion gift!At one time my albums were full of our personal cabinet cards/photos. Some how they have been misplaced through the years, but if they resurface, I will also list them! This album remains as beautiful and as functional as it was so many years ago!
