A large complicated chamberstick by the Arts Crafts Shop (also known as the Buffalo Arts Crafts Shop). The company made quality enamel wares for about 5 years from 1902-1906. Heintz bought them out after 1906 and it became Heintz Art Metal Shop. The main body is held together with 4 riveted panels. Small hammering marks are seen on the inside of the piece made when the crafters fitted the curvacious form together. The handle is also riveted in place. The enamel covers 3 panels and has the appearance of peacocks or some sort of ornate floral display. It is signed on the bottom, inside of one of the panels. The stick measures 4 1/2" tall and just shy of 6" across at the legs. T is some enamel loss as evidenced by the photos. I've seen other items touched up with fingernail polish, but being a purist, I will leave that to someone else. So after 100+ years, it isn't perfect, but has the character one would want for their collection. Please see my other Arts and Crafts items up for auction! Happy Bidding!
