A very Special set of Bookends...I have collected for longer than I will admit and this set is as good as they get... Made by Bradley & Hubbard, a premier bookend manufacturer, they depict "Ludwig van Beethoven", who is one of the most respected and influential composers of all time. Even by B&H's high standards, they are exceptional, with a tiered base, the spectacular pipe organ background, every facet is elaborately detailed.. This is a set of Bookends, that know they are Bookends.... They are made of gilded & bronzed cast iron, and weigh an incredible10 lbs. 15 oz. The bust is non-magnetic & I think it to be gray metal. It is attached with a machine screw from the bottom. The nameplate is brass, with brass pins. Height is 6 inches and width is 6 inches. As the photos show, they are in excellent condition.. No dents, cracks or repairs. They look almost too good, but the finish is original, with very little oxidation. The only apology I can mention, is that the felts are missing. Not a problem, I will expertly add new felting, before I pack them. One skill I've acquired with the hobby. These are fit for the most discerning collector.... You would be proud to own these or make a gift of them... Please see my other listings for many other sets of scarse & unusual bookends that I will be offering this week. I will happily read more
