Wonderful, very early miner's safety lamp, made and signed by Hughes Brothers, Scranton, Pa., U.S.A. Made of brass, it is about 8 1/4" tall (NOT including the large hanging hook), and the bottom is about 2 3/4" diameter. Has a shield that lifts up and down in the back. T is a small 1/2" crack on this shield, but other than that, looks to be in great condition. I have never seen one of these old ones up close before, so I am only guessing, but quite sure that is all okay. I have taken several photos of different angles to help you, and if I have left important info out, please feel free to email me. This is really a beautiful , rare piece. We accept M.O., personal check or paypal ok if used within 24 hours of sale ending. NO E-CHECKS. Buyer to pay shipping and insurance.
