~ Please see detailed photos below! ~ DESCRIPTION : This auction is for a Rare LARGE & Incredible Antique Original Cabinet Card Photograph of Buffalo Bill Cody & his Niece on Horseback! The photographer portrays Buffalo Bill proudly posing on his horse & his little niece on horseback alongside him at his Traveling Wild West Tour. It appears they are backstage w the show was probably happening in front of the curtains behind them! Tents, a big ball & fellow cowboys can be seen in the background. In the foreground the photographer's shadow is visible!! When purchased the seller told me that the photograph was found in a trunk filled with Buffalo Bill's belongings! This is truly a spectacular rare find! This antique photograph is c.1900. SIZE : Overall size including board: 11 7/8 X 13 7/8 Photographic Image: 8 1/16 X 10 1/16 CONDITION : Excellent Rare Condition & Contrast!! Minor wear as shown with light minor blemish on left bottom edge (2 2 3/4 X 3/4) and light bumps to a couple of edges. Slight markings on reverse. See photos below! PHOTOGRAPHER & SITTER : On a separate brown piece of paper in period script: "Col. Cody & niece." I do not clean or restore an item unless it is noted although sterling silver is usually polished for aesthetic purposes and to uncover marker's marks. If an item is not as described, I will refund 100% of the purchase price, less the shipping cost, once I have received it back in the EXACT condition in which it was sent out and only if I agree that the discrepancy should have been noted.
