ABOUT OUR AUCTIONS: Hi everyone,thanks for taking a look at our items. Over the next two weeks we will be auctioning off what we believe are some of the finest examples we have ever put up for auction from our private collection. You very rarely see collections like this come up for auction on ebay, and all with No Reserve, so if you like what you see be sure to add us to your favorites list . If you haven't seen our auctions before it is nice to know we have Never Had a Reserve on one item ...Ever, no matter what it is!! We also start everything off nice and low always under 20.00 to give everyone a great chance at a nice treasure. Also if you see more than one item you like, we give great combined shipping deals, always at least 50% lower for the second item and even lower for more items. ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Rare c1880 Dutch Solid Silver Ruby Eye Krane Form Box. The Krane Box is part of a Large Collection of Silver and other Fine Quality Collection items up for auction, as you can see in the last picture. I do not know a great deal about the box being out of my Parents Estate, and Collection. We have looked in all our books and online, and cannot find another example quite like this, I am sure being a Very Rare find. Other early Animal Form Boxes appear to be worth quite substantial amounts, so this may be a real find. As you can see the Krane Box is completely hand made. The Detials are also very nice throughout including a Snake in the Kranes Beak, showing nice Feather details, and finely detailed Legs, and Feet. The Base also has a nice Pebbled design. As you can see t is one Ruby eye still intact and the other needs replacing.The Krane Box is in nice original condition with a small repair to the one leg, and no othe repairs, dints, or cracks. The Box could use a cleaning, but we like to leave everything 100% original. As you can see the Krane has a small hallmark on the side, most likely a makers mark, along with Early Dutch Solid Silver Marks on the base. The Krane Measures 4 5/8 inches tall, by 2 3/4 inches wide, and is 1 7/8 inches wide at the base. I believe it would have originally been made as a Snuff or Pill box, but I will let you decide! I have no idea what the Rare Early Dutch Silver Krane Form Box would be worth. I do know it may be some time before you see another one, and with No Reserve! As usual we just start all our items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!!
