ABOUT OUR AUCTIONS: Hi everyone,thanks for taking a look at our items. We do hope everyone is having a nice holiday season, and we wish everyone all the best in 2008. Over the past couple months we have been unpacking and getting ready to list some amazing examples from our private collection. I believe this week we have some of the Finest pieces we have Ever listed online, some really amazing examples, and all starting low with No Reserve. If you haven't seen our auctions before it is nice to know we have Never Had a Reserve on one item ...Ever, no matter what it is! We also start everything off nice and low, usually under 15.00 to give everyone a great chance at a nice treasure. Also if you see more than one item you like, we give great combined shipping deals, always at least 50% lower for the second item and even lower for more items. ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Rare c1880 German Solid Silver Gold Gilt Bird Form Stirrup Cup. The Stirrup Cup is part of a Large Collection of Silver and other Fine Quality Estate items up for auction, as you can see in the last picture. The Stirrup Cup is one of 3 Stirrup Cups listed from my Parents Estate and Private Collection. You do see some newer plated stirrup cups online, but Very Few Solid Silver period examples like this. We have also never seen another one with this great Bird Form. Most of these cups were commissioned for very wealthy gentelmen which would invite t freinds over and have a Stirrup Cup Toast before (and I am sure a few after) going Fox Hunting. The Stirrup Cup is Completley Hand Made, and decorated with Amazing Liflelike Detials all around. The Stirrup Cup also has a nice Gold Gilt interior. The Stirrup Cup is also in very fine original condition showing very little to no wear, no dints, cracks, or repairs. The Stirrup cup is also nice Thick Solid Silver throughout weighting 260 grams. The Stirrup cup is also a nice size for use and display measuirng 5 inches tall, by 3 inches wide at the rim. As you can see the Stirrup Cup is Hallmarked with 800 for Solid Silver and a makers mark I cannot quite make out. I have no idea what the Fine Rare c1880 Solid Silver Bird Form Stirrup Cup would be worth. I do know at the higher end auctions some of these silver Stirrup Cups can go for amazing amounts. As usual we just start all our items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!!
