This Matching Pair of Antique Ivory Peacocks are without a doubt, extremely rare. I have had several experienced professionals give their opinions on this pair of finely crafted Peacocks. All have agreed that the workmanship was done by a renowned master of the time. The intricate design is done exquisitely in minute detail right to the Lines of Owen on this mono block. This lovely pair of birds are of exceptional quality especially from the era for which they were labored over. These birds are a one of a kind design and pure authentic ivory and they are not tea stained. The photos of this set do not show the fine detail or the artistic quality of the workmanship. This is a beautiful carving from the high relief of the base to the low relief of the detailed feathers.
