VERY RARE SET, 4 matching cupboards - a complete kitchen! Solid OAK, routed designs, original paint, pristine enamel, red bakelite pulls... Every time I look at this kitchen I just want to bake a cherry pie! It is that sweet! Could be a Mary Engelbreit creation, but its actually vintage period c1910. I describe it as Hoosier or Sellers, but have found no labels. If you are looking for a "turn of the last century kitchen", you've found it ! We have moved and sadly the new kitchen is c1970's woodmode and my husband is not up to a renovation so soon after moving - GOOD NEWS FOR YOU! You may never get an opportunity at a set like this again. I have never even seen another. I'll describe the pieces individually: First we have the cupboard with the flour bin and roll top cubby. This piece has a top that comes off for moving. The porcelain enamel work surface is immaculate. No dings. The flour sifter/bin is hardly used and its enamel also looks brand new. 100% original. The flour bin measures 8-1/4 " wide x 10" front to back. This cabinet is 73" tall 40-1/2" wide. The top part is 12-1/2" front to back. The work surface is 38-1/2 inches wide and 24" front to back but the upper cabinet sits on part of that. All original bakelite pulls. Rounded tombstone shape tops (as on all pieces) with the fabulous routed floral design. The center top of this cupboard has a tambour (roll-top) door 16" wide and 11-1/2" tall. Pleasant EASY rolling action. Please note the detail of the routing above the door. Above that cubby, t is a glass front door that opens to 2 shelves, each 16" wide and 12" front to back. The left top door has the flour bin and a shelf, and the right top has 2 shelves. The left and right upper doors are 9-9/4 " wide and 28-1/4" tall. Under these doors on the upper cabinet are 2 small drawers that have the wonderful router carvings also. The drawers slide smoothly and are 9" wide 11" front to back and 5" tall, nice for spices! The base of this unit has 2 doors, each measuring 17-1/2" wide and 16" tall. inside of which t is an original wire lid holder on the left and also a wire pull out shelf. ALSO Base has a GREAT LARGE storage drawer across the bottom, measuring 35" wide x 18" front to back x 7-1/2" tall. All drawers have oak as secondary wood, which shows the original quality of this set! 2nd piece now: china cupboard, also in 2 sections for moving. You could even take the top and mount it on the wall to give you more surface area for countertop using the top of base. At one time someone played with the finish on this piece, and later someone else attempted to undo it! Look at the photos you and see the color difference, but I do think the restoration is well done in that it all still looks like a matching set. I used them all my kitchen and no one ever remarked on it. After all they are 100 years old now, and even the original finish on the other 3 pieces are no longer an exact match. The dimensions of this cupboard are overall 65" tall, 32" wide x 16-1/2" front to back. Top of cabinet is rounded 25-1/2" wide x 31" tall. T are 3 shelves behind the glass door, 2 of which have double grooves for plates. The shelves are 27" wide and 11" front to back. The base of the china cupboard has a drawer 26-1/2" wide x 13-1/2 front to back x 5" tall. under the drawer are 2 doors 18" tall x 13-1/2 wide, no shelf t Same matching routing, and drawer pulls. Knobs on doors are either original or a period replacement, also red, but of floral design. Pieces 3 & 4 are mirror image, right and left facing tower cabinets, also with the tombstone, rounded tops and identical routing to rest of set. Bakelite knobs original. These can be used as broom closets if desired, but both also come with removable shelves for additional storage, These cabinets are each 69-1/2" tall x 13" front to back. The doors are 14-1/2" wide x 63" tall. The interior shelves are 16-1/2"wide x 11" front to back. PLEASE SUPERSIZE each photo for a GOOD LO...
