This is a Case Classic Split Backspring Prototype Whittler pattern for auction. This model features the rare Bark Mastodon Ivory scales, and the Case Oval Shield, which is pinned to the frame; the length is 3 1/2". This knife was produced in 1992 in a quantity of Prototype. The tang stamp reads Case Brother's Bradford,Pa . The Pen and Small Clip blades are also tang stamped. Both blades are stamped; the Pen blade reads Case Bros.Tested XX and the Small Clip blade is stamped with an Case Bros.Tested XX. The blades are produced with a factory mirror polished carbon cutlery steel.( And The Front of The Baster Blade is Deep Etched XX and The Rear of the Blade is Stamped Prototype).I bought This Knife some years back from the Late MR.Jim Parker. This knife is listed in the current Case Classic Value Guide at $850.00 and is mint in A Case Classic box with certificate of authenticity.
