RARE Chinese Famille Rose Vase Hongxian Mark & Period
This is a rare Chinese, c.1920-1930, famille rose porcelain vase in elegant lobed bottle form and delicately hand-painted with a mountain side lake scene including a figure amid rocks, trees, and pagodas, while another figure is seen in a boat (on reverse side). The underside has a rare reign mark of "Hongxian nian zhi" (made in the Hongxian reign...1920-1930) in red. Subtle shades, fine details, and raised enamels are charactersistics of this fine chinese porcelain. The vase is in excellent condition and measures 5 3/4"h x 3"w.
