Rare Civil War Ambrotype Civil War Soldier Photograph

is a wonderful 19th century ambrotype photograph of a civil war soldier. This is an ambrotype as opposed to a tin type that is on tin, and a daguerreotype, that I believe is on a thicker piece of metal, this image is on a piece of glass. This image is in very nice shape with only a small amount of damage were the checkered floor is, and the case is split at the seam. This image is hand tinted on his buttons on the checkered floor and the pillar he is leaning against. This man is wearing a very nice overcoat or frock that appears to be union. This is a wonderful full shot of this soldier that is seldom seen. This image is a fourth plate or 4.5" tall and 3.5" wide. Very nice all around image that is very clear and very nice. Be sure to check out my other auctions. NO RESERVE! Thanks much and good luck!
