Description: This is an exquisite cut crystal Open Salt Cellar, that we could not identify within the numerous reference materials available; is t someone out t that can put up in the right direction? It is a beautiful piece of eight (8) Ladder cuts x eight prism cuts. It boasts saw tooth cuts on the salt surround x 24 cuts. A very heavy piece of Lead crystal, and this piece would be a brilliant period open salt to focus in your China or Curio cabinet. Just a beautiful salt and depicts the opulent period that the rich and famous enjoyed during the turn of the Century. The bottom of the base is carefully polished to reflect the period. Excellent pressed glass with no damage such as cracks, striations, chips, or spoon âeoefleabitesâe. One saw tooth cut appears to have been professionally repair, but does not detract in any way the beauty of the piece.
