Up for auction is a very rare Czech art glass perfume bottle made by Hartil only one year in 1955. This came from an estate of a advanced glass collector and all I know is what the collector has written on a tag that was kept with the bottle. Any additional information by you experts would be appreciated as my reserch on this maker has been unfruitfull. The decoration is very complex with the design and color shading of the glass. I have never seen any other like it in all my decades in the antique field as the lines seem like a complex netting and the colors of a pink to a lime green yellow are very smooth in transition. The maker definitely was showing off his skill with this piece.
The bottle stands 6 7/8in. tall to top of stopper and is unmarked. The base is ground and polished. Bottle is in gorgeous condition with NO chips, cracks, scratches, bruises, heat checks, alterations or repairs. The stopper when first put into bottle seems a bit wobbly but will be a tight fit when light pressure is applied. I believe stopper is the original as the hole for the stopper is not exactly round and both stopper and bottle have the same kind of grinding for the fit. Also the example that sold at Treadway Auction house had the same kind of stopper.
